Safer, greener and healthier routes to school help build a strong sense of community.
CDC developed the Safe Routes To School logo and recently launched the Safe Routes To School web site for the Wauwatosa School district. The program, logo and site are designed to inform and connect parents to routes and students who share a route to school with their own children. Walking together or riding bikes to school with others keeps kids from traveling alone while it builds a better sense of community and offers healthier and greener alternatives for getting to and from school.
